Magnet Programs
Magnet Programs
Here at the Williamsburg Bridge Magnet School for Communication and Mixed Media Arts, we place an emphasis on providing Project-Based Learning opportunities for our students in all modern forms of communication. We believe in providing students with an appreciation of a wide variety of artistic experiences in order to develop the whole child.
Making use of Communication and various forms of Media, as well as Fine and Performance Arts, we infuse all of the strands of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics- into our students' school day. Please read below to learn about many of our exciting Magnet opportunities!
Spanish Dual Language
Students in grades Kindergarten through Fourth have the opportunity to join our Spanish Dual Language Program. Our teachers in this program are fluent in both English and Spanish and spend half the day teaching in each language. Students do not need to have any prior experience with the Spanish language to succeed in this program as their young brains are able to understand new languages quickly and easily!
Rosie's Theater Kids
Fourth Graders participate in interactive artistic workshops to develop performing arts skills. A team of dedicated teachers and performers work with our students to give them in-depth exposure to the theatrical arts in the heart of the city where Broadway was born!
